Review by hotel critic
As an archaeologist, I appreciate the significance of context, both historical and culinary, and the Spanish Motor Inn in Bundaberg provided a delightful blend of both. My nearly three-week stay was great for unwinding after my travels. The kitchenette in our executive Queen room made preparing light meals a breeze, and the ample crockery allowed for an impromptu dinner party with friends. What stood out most was the lush pool area, perfect for lounging after a morning of local explorations. The free barbeque setup was a fantastic feature, letting guests enjoy grilled meals in tranquil surroundings. There's also a snack bar/deli on-site, but I found more satisfaction venturing to nearby eateries like Grandma's Kitchen and Cold Rock for a sweet treat. Breakfast at the hotel balanced simplicity and flavor, though the coffee was disappointingly burnt. As any food enthusiast knows, not every experience needs to be perfect. The kindness of the staff in providing complimentary milk upon arrival was a charming touch. For anyone venturing this way, the Spanish Motor Inn is an excellent base to explore while satisfying your culinary cravings.
